The creative workshop by Tanha Gomes and Sandrine Côté explores notions of reception and hospitality, particularly through the act of sharing a cup of tea as a healing practice. The project is rooted in meetings and creative workshops held by the artists since 2021 with groups of young people, seniors and families in Côte-des-Neiges, Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Pierrefonds and other neighbourhoods. During the Around the table event, the artists invited the public to take part in a herbal tea bag creation workshop. Together, the participants and the artists reflected on social justice issues while sharing the sensations that different scents procured them while sharing a cup of tea.
